Row Boat Rental:
Lunchtime Rowboat Rentals on Fort Point Channel are OPEN!
Join us at the Boston Rowing Center 10am to 2pm on the floats behind the Barking Crab Restaurant at 88 Sleeper Street.
Our fleet of classic wooden rowboats include peapods, skiffs, dories and more. We provide life jackets and safety gear. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Have a relaxing row and lunch on the water, or make it a real mid-day workout – in either case, a great way to enjoy summer in the city!
$15 per hour per boat (each boat holds 1-4 people).
You can book online by clicking below (pops up to bookeo.com).
The Boston Rowing Center is a program of the Hull Lifesaving Museum and thanks the Fort Point Channel Operations Board for their support of this program.

Hours of Operation:
M-F 10am – 2pm
Lesson is included for inexperienced rowers, coaching is available upon request (free of charge).
What to expect:
On your first rental, you can expect a thorough walk through of the safety procedure.
Followed by the “cheap and dirty” sculling lesson.
Sculling is rowing with two oars.
As you practice you’ll be tied to a tether until you have the skills down.
This usually happens within the first 10 minutes.
Then you’re off to explore the channel.
You should bring:
- Hat and other sun protection
